CT1 assignment

Data - is organized information. It can be numbers, words, measurements, observations or even just descriptions of things.


 Information 
  • a message received and understood
  • knowledge acquired through study or experience or instruction
  • formal accusation of a crime
  • data: a collection of facts from which conclusions may be drawn; "statistical data"
  • (communication theory) a numerical measure of the uncertainty of an outcome; "the signal contained thousands of bits of information"


Information Processing
         - is the change (processing) of information in any manner detectable by an observer.



Information Processing Cycle
 Information processing cycle of computer can be well described by the following points:
  1. Input-entering data into the computer.
  2. Processing-performing operations on the data.
  3. Output-presenting the results.
  4. Storage-saving data, programs, or output for future use.
